hives This lozenge bee escapement is designed to facilitate honey extraction operations in standard 12-frame hives. The structure includes a 50x50 cm wooden board on which the plastic lozenge bee-opener device is mounted, size 125x380 mm ,with two outlets.Operation and Operational Advantages
The apiscope acts as a selective barrier between the honeycomb and the nest, allowing bees to descend from the honeycomb to the nest through a unidirectional passage, but preventing them from ascending. In this way, within 16 to 24 hours of installation between the two hive bodies, most of the bees leave the honeycomb, allowing smooth collection of the honeycomb without the presence of bees. The special funnel shape of the lozenge effectively hinders the return of bees to the honeycomb.The materials used ensure durability and ease of cleaning, while the tablet's generous size offers compatibility with standard 12-frame size hives.
