The main novelty is that the suction system is external to the cassette, and the cassette itself serves as the permanent home of the swarm, with no need for subsequent ÎãtransplantationÎã.
The swarm is collected by means of a suction tube that enters the cassette through the lid.
It is sufficient to place the polystyrene cassette, containing two or three already processed combs, on top of the device, overlap the special lid with the suction tube, lock it and begin collection. The swarm will be in the tray within 5 minutes.
The suction speed can be adjusted according to the length of the tube used and without damaging the bees in the swarm.
To reach greater heights, additional tubes of length 1400 mm each are available (not included in the price).
